We stayed at the Villa Gasparini in Dolo, took the bus into Venice each day, and hopped the ferry from the central station to St. Marks.
Part of experiencing Venice is the boat ride along the Grand Canal... I'm working on 3 videos - slow, medium and fast trips. We used this picture for our 2006 Christmas card... no it's not done by Bernadette's computer graphics. A passing tourist offered to take the shot and did a good job arranging it. Clicking on it opens the same 13 minute Photo Story as the above link... until I change it to link to a new and different one (someday).
